Baltimore

Educator; Mentor and Fundraising Officer, I AM MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project

Tiaira Robinson was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. Tiaira fell in love with art at very young age so her parents placed her in youth art classes at Towson University. Tiaira went on to graduate from Carver Center for the Arts and Technology and then from Coppin State University with a Bachelors degree in Urban Arts.

As an Arts Educator in Baltimore City, she teaches students how to integrate art into every aspect of their lives. When she is not teaching, her time is spent as a Mentor and Fundraising Officer with I AM MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project. Tiaira is passionate about being a vessel in changing the negative narrative about black male youth in her city of Baltimore. In 2017, she co-founded Merakian Boy with her nephew, which is a clothing line that allows the youth to create and run their own clothing line. She believes that success stories are created through meaningful relationships and creating those connections will help our young men to thrive.
