Lead Garden Teacher and Volunteer Coordinator, The Greensboro Children's Museum

Hailey Moses has lived in the North Carolina Triad since 2006. After graduating from Guilford College in 2010 with a BA in Peace and Conflict Studies, she joined the staff of The Edible Schoolyard at The Greensboro Children’s Museum as Garden Educator. In this role, Hailey has taught over 4,000 children in garden programs. She is passionate about seed-to-table education and providing opportunities for all children to experience the joy and wonder of nature. Last year, Hailey completed an American Horticultural Therapy Association (AHTA) accredited certificate program in Horticultural Therapy. Using this treatment modality, she facilitates garden programs as a therapeutic tool, helping participants to achieve physical, cognitive, and psychosocial health goals. Hailey’s favorite things include: rose lavender tea, the NPR politics podcast, pimento cheese, her Great Pyrenees pup, cooking for loved ones, and hiking in the NC mountains. She is thrilled to be part of the inaugural BBCLF cohort and to become an effective ally and leader within the broader Black Male Achievement field.
