Dr. Georgia Turner takes a vision and makes it reality through passion, dedication, and tremendous commitment. She has taken her desire to help others and created a career of service and leadership. Her journey began as a Clerk at a Louisville Metro Housing Authority, and she ended her tenure at the agency as the Section 8 Coordinator. She put her expertise to work as a Director at Kentuckiana Works, where she managed Welfare to Work grant funding. Her dedication to community was recognized, and she was hired as an Administrator for a Neighborhood Place where she coordinated services of various social service agencies under one roof. 

After several years of leadership in local government, she pursued her career goal of working for the Department of Housing and Urban Development where she successfully complete the leadership program, managed a housing portfolio and was instrumental in the success of HUD’s Fatherhood Initiative. Seizing an opportunity to direct a nonprofit agency, she accepted the position of Executive Director of 2NOT1 Fatherhood & Families, Inc. 

Under her leadership, 2NOT1 has increased the operating budget by seventy-five percent. She has moved services to the center of the community to better serve families, and in an effort to improve wrap around services for fathers and families, she galvanized community partnerships to assist fathers with navigating the child welfare, family court, and child support systems. 

Dr. Georgia Turner earned a Doctorate from Northern Kentucky University and a Master of Science in Justice Administration, Master in Public Administration, and a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Louisville. She is a passionate and focused leader with the ability to bring the best out of the people under her leadership.
