Whitney Buggs joined the Campaign for Black Male Achievement as our social media lead in 2016. She is an independent New York based PR, communications, events and social media marketing strategist and owner of Social Buggs Media, an online consultancy for vibrant lifestyle, non-profit and hospitality brands.

Over the years, Whitney has had the pleasure of working with an incredible roster of other storied brands across the lifestyle, food, beverage, hospitality and non-profit industries. She is not vested in just generating buzz, but in impactful brand growth through social media and traditional marketing strategies that help clients to grow their online brand presence, generate leads that result in new business, and land placements in national media outlets.

Her approach to PR, marketing and online strategy has garnered her an excellent reputation with the media, and a high-level of success with national, international, and regional press including The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Huffington Post, VICE, The Observer, and Complex.

Originally from Maryland, Whitney graduated from Washington, D.C.’s Howard University’s Journalism program.
