CBMA/TandemEd Program Manager, “Own Your Story” Initiative

Jasmin Barnett graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and African American Studies. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree she moved back to Detroit to attend Marygrove College where she received her Master of Arts in Community Development & Social Justice. Jasmin is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She has also been named a ‘Millennial Changemaker’, one of The Skillman Foundations ‘50 People Who Represent the Heart of Detroit', a fellow studying racial equity & healing with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Center for Creative Leadership. 

Jasmin is also a member of the Detroit-Hub of Global Shapers - The Global Shapers community is an Initiative of the World Economic Forum. She is also a board of trustee for the Charles H. Wright African American Museum. When not serving the community Jasmin enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.  

In her position as Program Manager, Jasmin will guide the implementation of the #OwnYourStory initiative, one of TandemEd's core programs that supports Black communities to drive social change by executing mindset-shifting narrative campaigns in partnership with like-minded companies.
