How do we leverage our commitment, relationships and community assets to establish excellence as a city's standard for the well-being of its Black men and boys?

Over the past several weeks, Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) has hosted the new webinar series "Promise of Place: A Focus on Excellence - Raising The Bar For Cities Supporting Black Men & Boys." Launched on October 18th, these webinars offer specific strategies that encourage cities, networks, organizations and individuals to make tangible progress in their efforts to improve life outcomes and opportunities for Black men and boys.

During the series, which is based on our 2015 report "Promise of Place: Cities Advancing Black Male Achievement," local leaders and hometown heroes have been offering insights into how their work is helping to advance Black Male Achievement in their cities. These webinars also provide insights and updates on future city-based efforts that CBMA will coordinate, and spotlight a different cities' progress in becoming places of promise for our nation's Black males.
On the first three webinars, we spotlighted the City of Louisville, Kentucky — also known as the “epicenter of Black Male Achievement” and the home of Rumble Young Man Rumble -- and the cities of Baltimore and Milwaukee. If you didn't get to catch them, no worries! Find links to the archived recordings for each below:

CBMA will be announcing more "Promise of Place" webinars in 2017, so stay tuned!
