Cities United Hosts 2017 Regional Convening in Hampton, VA

 The Campaign for Black Male Achievement is proud to once again be a partner on Cities United's 2017 Regional Convening Urgency of Now, Disrupting the Culture of Violencetaking place in Hampton, Virginia on February 15th and 16th. The two-day convening will include an evening resource fair and community dialogue; a day for registered cities to participate in panels on critical areas in youth violence prevention such as education, mentoring, employment, housing and justice; and a day for participating cities to have strategic consulting with Cities United. The resource fair and community conversation on February15th are open to the public. This conversation will also include local and national presenters and panelists who will share information with the Hampton Roads community on national initiatives that address youth violence and Black male achievement.   The Cities United Regional Convenings are an opportunity to gather local and regional organizations, community partners and young people working to create safe, healthy and hopeful communities. For more information on the convening and the efforts in Hampton, you can:
